Reinstall or fix PP Installation?

I installed PP about a week ago and began using it.
Today, when pointing my browser to the directory it resides in, I received this message:
"Error
We are sorry, but ProjectPier failed to connect to the database. Error report has been sent to the administrator so problem should be resolved soon."
I've not received an error report via email.
What should I do now?

ok I figured out what happened, and maybe this will help someone else in the future.
I had created another database on my server, using the same username but a different password. Of course, the new user overwrote the old one, thus rendering my Project Pier installation unable to connect with the database.
Once I realized the problem, I created a new user with the proper password, and viola, it worked like a charm!
