Guidelines
This page contains some guidelines for those accessing the #projectpier irc channel.
Our channel is fresh and recently created. Therefore, we don't have really a big bureaucracy, and we can talk about users, development, support in the same channel . So just some general guidelines in here:
- Be polite and helpful
- The official language of the channel is English
- Try to keep the channel on topic, talking about projectpier. Its ok some offtopic, just have the sense to stop if there is a more important topic going on
- If you need to paste lots of lines of text, use a paste site. like http://www.pastebin.com or http://rafb.net/paste/
- If you have a support question, just ask it straight (and briefly, with the relevant information), no need to ask to ask, or ask if someone is available. If someone is available and read your question, this person will answer. Also dont repeat the questions too often, it might become annoying for everyone.
Note: These guidelines were based on these and similar guides found in other open source projects
