Right hand menu gets in the way of certain pages

Description
There are some circumstances that the right hand menu location prevents some of the content from showing since the menu is on top. A resolution might involve moving the location of the menu or all the way to redesigning the theme for the site. A redesign would potentially address several issues at once, but we should be careful not to loose any existing branding.
