Project Pier Roadmap?
Submitted by xeta on Thu, 11/01/2007 - 18:10.
I've been checking the forums for any type of progress reports, issue resolution or general banter from the dev staff only to see forum posts go 2-days before being answered. Just wanted to know if PP was dead before it started? :(
A roadmap would be awesome! Things I'de like to see:
- Time Tracking
- Email notifications for task generation
(edit: I updated the subject since it was a little harsh)

Just to keep people in the loop - most of the developer discussion isn't happening in the forums. Initially we were organizing ourselves with an installation of ProjectPier, but have since moved our discussions onto the mailing lists. Feel free to join our discussions there or browse the archives to get up to speed. You can also look at the issue que to see open feature requests and bugs.
ProjectPier is quite steadily gaining momentum (the website as a whole seems to be growing some what exponentially) and very far from being dead.

Ryan, it might be a good idea to post an overview and/or occasional updates to the site, for those of us who maybe dont have the time to participate in the list but want to be involved and know a bit more where this is going.
Where are the mailing lists?
Do you have an announce list and/or security announce list?
Here is the project's homepage at Sourceforge: http://sourceforge.net/projects/projectpier/
Please see http://sourceforge.net/mail/?group_id=195833 for the mailing lists.

I really agree with kemie on this one. I frequent the PP site but I don't really want to delve into all the development details to find out what's going on.
I'm sure you can get a great community going if someone can devout a little bit of time to writing some pretty, motivational articles - the stuff that gets people wanting to get on board and help. Drupal is a good example of this.
I realise that everyone developing the next release is probably flat out, so if help is wanted on that front I can probably donate a bit of time.
